Emergency services are continuing their search for a woman who was seen jumping into the River Thames from London Bridge on Tuesday evening.
Police were called to the scene at approximately 5:00 PM on 19 November after witnesses reported the incident. A search operation was immediately launched, involving the Marine Policing Unit and a police helicopter. However, despite extensive efforts, the woman has not yet been located.
Ongoing Investigation
The Metropolitan Police confirmed that enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing. It remains unclear why the woman entered the water, and officers are appealing to the public for any information that could assist their investigation.
A police spokesperson said:
“This is a tragic and distressing situation. Our thoughts are with those who may be affected by this incident. We are continuing to explore all avenues to locate the individual.”
