A second arrest has been made following the death of a man in Chatham.

Kent Police was called at 3.11am on Tuesday 2 December 2025, following reports of an assault in a private property in Thorold Road, Chatham.

Officers attended alongside other emergency services, and a 19-year-old man was located inside the premises with injuries consistent with stab wounds.

The victim was treated by paramedics but was confirmed deceased at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

A 32 year old man from Chatham was arrested on the same day in connection with the incident and remains in custody.

Later that evening, officers also arrested an 18 year old man from Greenford, London, who remains in custody.

Enquiries continue at Thorold Road, with a cordon remaining at the scene. An adjacent alleyway has now been reopened.

Investigators are continuing to appeal for any witnesses who have not yet spoken to the police to contact them. Residents with private CCTV and motorists with dashcam are also asked to check for relevant footage.
