A suspect has been formally charged with a burglary at a public house in Ashford.
Reports indicate that in the early hours of Wednesday, March 13, 2024, an establishment in Willesborough fell victim to a break-in. During the incident, various items, including alcohol, were reported stolen.
Thanks to the swift action of officers from Ashford’s Community Safety Unit, a suspect was apprehended shortly after. Ben Everitt, aged 27 and residing at Cornes Close, was arrested on Friday, March 15.
Following the arrest, Ashford’s Victim Based Crime Team continued their thorough investigation into the matter. Subsequently, Mr. Everitt was formally charged with burglary.
He has been remanded in custody and is set to appear before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Monday, March 18, to face the charges brought against him.
