Four-Vehicle Smash on A33: Police Urge Witnesses to Step Forward
Chaos hit the A33 at Chineham this morning after a four-car crash left two men seriously injured. Police were called at 6.35am to the scene where a black Saab 93, a blue Volkswagen Passat, a white Volkswagen Tiguan, and a blue Volkswagen Golf collided.
Serious Injuries and Road Closure
The male Passat driver and his passenger were rushed to Southampton General Hospital with serious injuries. The Saab’s male driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to North Hampshire Hospital. The crash left a slick of oil across the carriageway, forcing officers to shut both directions for cleanup.
Police Hunt Crucial Witness – Driver of a Seat
Officers want to speak to anyone who saw the collision or the vehicles beforehand. In particular, Sgt Paul White is keen to contact the driver of a Seat seen near the scene just before the smash. “We know they were not involved in the collision, but believe they have information that could help our investigation,” said Sgt White.
If you saw anything, call Sgt White on 101 quoting incident 145, or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
