Two teenagers have admitted to threatening a victim with a knife during a robbery incident in Bromley. The harrowing ordeal unfolded on Mottingham Road, SE9, where the victim was confronted with a knife and had property stolen from them.
Upon receiving the report of the robbery, the police swiftly launched an investigation, tracing the suspects to an address believed to be their whereabouts after the offence.
Officers executed a search at the identified address and successfully recovered the stolen property, as well as apprehending the suspects responsible for the crime.
Both individuals, who are juveniles, were subsequently charged, remanded, and have pleaded guilty to the robbery charges. They have been released on bail pending sentencing, with authorities ensuring they remain accountable for their actions.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police, representing the South Area Robbery Team, confirmed the details of the incident, emphasizing the swift and decisive action taken by law enforcement officers.
“Investigating officers from South Area Robbery Team have successfully charged and remanded two juvenile males following a robbery on Mottingham Road, SE9,” the spokesperson stated.
The victim was subjected to threats with a knife, and property was forcibly taken during the incident. Promptly after the robbery was reported, officers identified an address believed to be linked to the suspects’ activities post-offence.
Upon entering the address, officers not only recovered the stolen property but also apprehended the suspects responsible for the crime. Both suspects have been charged, remanded, and have pleaded guilty to robbery charges. They have been released on bail pending sentencing.”
