47-Year-Old Man Apprehended in Brighton Magistrates’ Court After Breaking and Entering

Fernando Montoya, 47, residing on Grand Parade in Brighton, was apprehended during the early hours of Tuesday morning after breaking into Brighton Magistrates’ Court. Montoya forcefully smashed through glass panels at the entrance, setting off alarms, and was swiftly detained by security. Police subsequently arrested him.

A Sussex police Spokesperson said “Fernando Montoya, 47, of Grand Parade in Brighton was arrested in the early hours of Tuesday morning (January 23) after breaking into Brighton Magistrates’ Court.

He smashed through glass panels at the entrance of the building, triggering the alarms. He was then quickly apprehended by security and arrested by police soon after.

Montoya appeared in court on Wednesday (January 24), charged with criminal damage. He pleaded guilty to the charge and has been given a community order and ordered to pay £200 in compensation.”
