Man Busted After Bashing Through Brighton Court Entrance
Fernando Montoya, 47, from Grand Parade in Brighton, made a bold and foolish move early Tuesday morning. He smashed through the glass doors of Brighton Magistrates’ Court, triggering alarms and causing chaos.
Quick Security Response Leads to Arrest
Montoya smashed the entrance glass panels, setting off the building’s alarms. Security acted fast, detaining him before police swiftly arrived to arrest him.
Facing The Music in Court
The next day, Montoya appeared in court charged with criminal damage. He admitted guilt and was slapped with a community order. On top of that, he must pay £200 in compensation.
A spokesperson said: “Fernando Montoya, 47, was arrested on January 23 after breaking into Brighton Magistrates’ Court. He smashed through the glass panels at the entrance, triggering the alarms. He was quickly apprehended by security and arrested by police soon after.”
