Drug Dealer Nabbed in Northampton Stings Black BMW Packed with Class A Goods
Rene Ross, 25, from Wolverton, was busted in Northampton last July after police acting on a tip-off stopped his black BMW on Colwyn Road. Officers from Operation Revive suspected the car was tied to drug dealing—and they were right.
Class A Drugs Discovered Inside Car
A thorough search of Ross’s vehicle uncovered a large stash of Class A drugs, wrapped ingeniously inside a baby grow. He was swiftly arrested and charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply.
Hard-Hitting Sentence for Ross
Ross pleaded guilty at Northampton Crown Court on January 10. On March 26, he was sentenced to three years and six months behind bars—a clear message that drug dealers won’t get off lightly.
Operation Revive Cracks Down on Dealers
“I am really pleased with this sentence as it demonstrates that Northamptonshire Police and the courts take a hard-line approach when it comes to drug dealing,” said Neighbourhood Policing Inspector Rod Williams.
“Operation Revive is our tough campaign targeting serious violence linked to Class A drugs and gangs. From street dealers to organised crime groups, we are committed to bringing offenders to justice.”
