Brutal Hair-Pulling Assault Caught in Front of Kids
Aaron Boon, 29, unleashed a terrifying attack on a woman outside her flat, tearing out clumps of her hair and stamping on her head in front of her two young children.
Horrific Attack After Heated Argument
On the evening of 29 November 2021, following a heated dispute, Boon yanked the victim’s hair and pushed her to the ground as she screamed for help from neighbours. He then ruthlessly stamped on her head at least six times. The terrifying assault unfolded in a communal area where the woman lived, witnessed by her young kids.
Thief and Violent Offender Fights Cops
Boon didn’t stop there. He grabbed the victim’s watch and £20 before fleeing. Moments later, he returned and tried to force his way back inside, damaging the flat’s front door.
When police arrived, Boon launched a violent attack on officers. He shoved a female cop so hard she nearly tumbled down a flight of stairs and elbowed her in the head. He then kicked, punched and bit a male officer before finally being restrained and arrested.
Jail For Repeated Violence and Drug Offences
At Woolwich Crown Court, Boon pleaded guilty to assault causing actual bodily harm, two counts of assaulting emergency workers, criminal damage, and possession of cannabis. He had also breached a suspended sentence.
On 3 March 2022, Boon was sentenced to 21 months behind bars.
Police Praise Victim’s Courage
“The victim has shown immense courage and strength to give evidence, having endured previous abuse from Boon,” said PC Sophie Marshall of the North Kent Vulnerability Investigation Team.
“Thankfully, she avoided serious physical injury, but the psychological scars and distress to her children will linger. Her bravery, and that of her children, should inspire other victims to come forward.”
“Domestic violence is a priority for Kent Police. No one should feel trapped. If you’re in a similar situation, get help. Talk to us or a trusted person. There is support available.”
