Teen Charged After Knife Attack in Arnold
Police rushed to Coppice Road in Arnold at around 8pm on Saturday (9 July) after reports of an attack. They found a man injured at the scene.
The victim was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre with non-life-threatening injuries. Another man was hurt but didn’t need hospital treatment.
17-Year-Old Arrested Over Serious Attack
Following an extensive investigation, a 17-year-old boy has been charged with wounding with intent and carrying a knife or sharp article in public.
Due to his age, the teen cannot be named under the Children and Young Persons Act of 1933. He remains in custody and is set to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court today (13 July).
Second Teen Released on Bail
A second 17-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent but has been released on conditional bail.
“This kind of violence has absolutely no place in our society,” said Detective Inspector Nick Hall of Nottinghamshire Police. “I am pleased we have now charged a suspect in relation to this attack. Our investigation is ongoing.”
