Bladed Attack Rocks Pinehurst Road
Police were called at around 11pm on Monday (19/07) after a man suffered a serious facial injury from a suspected bladed weapon. The violent incident erupted during a fight between two groups of young men who reportedly know each other.
Victim in Hospital as Suspect Arrested
The victim, a man in his 20s, is currently receiving hospital treatment for what could be life-changing wounds. A 19-year-old male was arrested on Wednesday (21/07) on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent but has since been granted conditional bail.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Detective Sergeant Scott Anger of Swindon CID said: “We believe the assault happened on Pinehurst Road near the footpath crossing by the local brook. We are appealing to anyone who witnessed a disturbance between two groups of males, aged late teens to early twenties, to get in touch. This was a serious assault with potentially life-changing consequences. We need your help.”
