Southampton Drug Dealer Busted with Crack and Heroin

Ahmed Zelgay, 24, from Morris Road, Southampton, has been locked up for 32 months. He pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, including crack cocaine and heroin.

Community Tips Lead to Arrest

Local residents tipped off police about suspected drug dealing. On October 4, neighbourhood officers searched Zelgay at 1 Road play park under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act. They found him carrying 42 wraps of crack and heroin.

“Our message to criminals coming here to deal is that you’re not welcome,” said Detective Constable Andy Spooner. “If you suspect anyone of drug dealing or spot suspicious behaviour, report it to us on 101.”
