Teenager Charged with Murder After Human Remains Found in SW13

A 17-year-old from Kensington and Chelsea has been charged with murder after human remains were found at a Nowell Road property in SW13.

The teenager was charged on Monday, 6 January, and is due to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court later today.

Gruesome Discovery Sparks Murder Probe

Officers discovered the remains during a search of the property on Friday, 3 January. They were called to the address following welfare concerns for an occupant.

Cause of Death Confirmed: Stab Wound to Chest

A post-mortem at Kingston mortuary on Sunday, 5 January, revealed the victim died from a stab wound to the chest. While formal identification has yet to be confirmed, police believe the victim is a 53-year-old man.

The victim’s family has been informed and are receiving support from specially trained officers. Police urge anyone with information to contact the incident room on 020 8721 4054.
