Things fizzled up again Sunday evening near the junction of Rathmell Road and Ullswater Crescent. Police vans were pelted with bricks and fireworks as a large crowd gathered. Detectives sifted through CCTV footage and carried out extensive enquiries, leading to 39 arrests. Yesterday alone, Leeds East Neighbourhood Policing Team served 21 summonses. Most face violent disorder charges, with some also accused of burglary and arson. The majority are male juveniles.
Leeds Anti-Social Behaviour Team worked alongside police, issuing housing warnings to offenders. The bulk of the suspects will appear at Leeds Magistrates Court on January 11 and 12.
