Rajanee Brown Sentenced for Deadly Driving Blunder
Rajanee Brown, 26, from Balham Hill, SW12, was slammed with a three-year prison sentence at Kingston Crown Court on Friday, 29 October. She was convicted of causing death by dangerous driving after a fatal smash in 2019.
Alongside her jail term, Brown faces a 54-month driving ban. Once banned period ends, she must pass a driving test before hitting the road again.
Crash Details: Party Night Ends in Tragedy
The incident happened in the early hours of 22 December 2019. Brown was driving home from a nightclub when her car veered onto the wrong side of the road and smashed into a coach.
Despite emergency services rushing to the scene and performing first aid, 24-year-old Aliyah Roach tragically died at the crash site.
Police Warn of Vigilance on Roads
Detective Inspector Helen Craine, Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “This tragic case highlights the need to remain alert and vigilant on the roads, paying attention at all times. By not doing so, Brown has left Aliyah’s young son without his mother, her parents without their daughter, as well as a wide circle of family and friends suffering her loss.”
