Woman Assaulted in Sherborne – Police Hunting Witnesses
Detectives are on the case after a woman in her 50s was reportedly assaulted in Sherborne. The attack happened at around 11am on Thursday, 26 October 2023, in Horsecastles Lane.
Man Arrested but Released on Bail
The victim knew her attacker, a 54-year-old local man. She suffered bruising in the assault. Police arrested the man on suspicion of assault but have since released him on bail while investigations continue.
Police Appeal for CCTV or Eyewitnesses
Detective Constable Liam Moss of Dorset County CID urged anyone with information to come forward:
“We have now obtained further details from the victim about the reported incident. I am appealing to anyone who was in the area and saw what happened, or may have captured anything on CCTV or dashcam footage, to please get in touch.”
