Teen Arrested After Knife Threat and Taxi Smash in Dartford

A suspected robber has been charged after a knife-wielding brawl with a taxi driver in Dartford.

Taxi Driver Threatened with Knife

Kent Police rushed to Ingress Gardens early on Friday morning, 18 October 2019, following reports of an attempted robbery. The victim, a taxi driver, was allegedly threatened with a knife during the incident. The suspect also smashed several windows of the vehicle.

Quick Arrest and Court Appearance

Police arrested 18-year-old Alex Griffith from Pacific Close, Swanscombe, the same day. He faces charges of possession of a knife, attempted robbery, and criminal damage.

Griffith was remanded in custody and appeared at Medway Magistrate’s Court on 19 October. After the hearing, he was released on bail and is due to face Woolwich Crown Court on a date yet to be confirmed.
