Man Charged After Officer Injured in High-Speed Chase

Dylan Church, 22, from Wentworth Way, Croydon, found himself in hot water after a dramatic incident on Thursday, 10 December. He faces multiple charges including assaulting an emergency worker, dangerous driving, driving without insurance, and driving while disqualified.

Court Appearance and Custody Update

Church was charged on Saturday, 12 December, and is currently remanded in custody. He is set to appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 14 December. Meanwhile, a 26-year-old man linked to the incident has been released under investigation.

Officer Injured in Dramatic Attempted Stop

The drama unfolded just before 6pm on Thursday evening. An officer from the Roads and Transport Policing Command was hurt when trying to stop two men in Tennison Road, Croydon. The officer was hospitalised but has since been discharged.
