Man Found Dead in Worksop: Four Charged
The body of an 85-year-old man was found on Limetree Avenue, Worksop, at around 9am on Sunday, 24 July.
Police were called after reports of a man’s body discovered by the roadside.
Charged: Murder, Fraud, and More
Two brothers, Matthew Roe, 24, from Jacksdale, and Luke Roe, 33, from Worksop, have been charged with murder and fraud by false representation.
- Matthew Roe faces an additional charge of failing to provide a specimen for analysis.
- Luke Roe is also charged with criminal damage.
Kevin Roe, 60, and Abbie Dixon, 27, both from Worksop, have been charged with assisting an offender.
Remanded in Custody Ahead of Court Hearing
All four have been remanded in custody and are due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 28 July 2022.

“We have now charged four people in connection with this incident,” said Detective Inspector Kaz Smithson of Nottinghamshire Police.
“I would like to thank all officers and staff for their hard work and dedication in conducting a thorough investigation.”
“At this incredibly sad time, our thoughts are with all those who may have known the victim.”
“While we do not believe there is a wider threat to public safety, there will be an increased police presence in the area.”
