Crime Spree Culprit Nabbed: Frazier Furlong, 27, a homeless troublemaker, has finally copped to a shocking two-week crime blitz across Worthing. The lawless rampage, stretching from late October to early November, wreaked havoc on the seaside town.
Rampage of Violence and Theft
Furlier Furlong racked up an alarming list of charges, including:
- Three assaults on emergency workers
- Two burglaries
- Two counts of obstructing police
- Theft and fraud
- Attempted burglary
- Possession of cocaine
- Five counts of criminal damage
All offences took place between October 28 and November 8, sending shockwaves through the community.
From Failed Break-In to Pub Raids
Furlong’s spree kicked off with a botched break-in on Poulters Lane before he went on to trash a TV and car at another home on Offington Drive. After being arrested and taken to Worthing Custody Centre, he even assaulted an officer there.
The crazed crook didn’t stop. On November 2, he broke into two pubs on Warwick Street and Brighton Road, swiped booze, smashed a car window, and battled the police trying to cuff him.
High-Stakes Theft and Chaos at Shops
Things went up a notch on November 8 when Furlong stole an Xbox from Currys in Lyons Farm. He flipped it at a pawn shop before smashing shop windows on Brighton Road and Warwick Street. During his latest arrest, he attacked officers again, resisted arrest, and was caught with cocaine in his possession.
Justice Closing In
“Furlong committed a number of offences in quick succession and the team worked tirelessly to ensure he is held accountable for his actions in a short time period,” said Detective Inspector Gary Jacobs. “I hope that when he is sentenced, he will no longer have the opportunity to offend for a considerable amount of time and will have the time to rehabilitate.”
Furlong pleaded guilty to all 16 offences at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on November 10 and remains in custody. His sentencing hearing is set for December 1. Worthing can only hope this menace is locked up for good.
