Glasgow ‘Witches and Wizards’ Paedophile Ring Busted in Horrific Sex Abuse Case

In one of the worst child sex abuse cases in recent memory, seven members of a vile paedophile gang have been found guilty of running a monstrous child sex ring in Glasgow. The depraved group posed as “witches and wizards” in a grim drugs den to lure victims. After a two-month trial, a jury at Glasgow High Court slammed the abusers with verdicts of sexual assault and rape on Tuesday.

Horrific Abuse and Dark Magic Delusions

The NSPCC revealed that 123 children were abused across multiple locations, including a place chillingly dubbed the “beauty house.” Older kids were forced to abuse younger victims during long, brutal attacks called “child rape nights” in court. Some perpetrators even exchanged money after the assaults, while others laughed coldly.

Victims lived through unimaginable torture. One chilling testimony described a child being locked inside a microwave, oven, fridge, and freezer in a failed murder bid. The kids believed their abusers held magical powers to transform them into animals using “magic wands.”

Seven Perpetrators Found Guilty, Others Acquitted

The seven convicted are Iain Owens, Elaine Lannery, Lesley Williams, Paul Brannan, Scott Forbes, Barry Watson, and John Clark. Owens, Lannery, Williams, and Brannan also face attempted murder convictions. Owens, Williams, and Brannan were hit with drug charges too. Marianne Gallagher was guilty of assault but cleared of more serious offences. Three others walked free.

NSPCC Condemns ‘Monstrous’ Abuse, Calls Out Defence Tactics

Defence lawyers tried to undermine the victims’ credibility, but prosecutors slammed this as “unfathomably devious.” The NSPCC’s Development Director Matt Forde branded the case “truly shocking.” He said, “You can only imagine the miserable and terrifying existence those children endured.”

The public is left reeling from the sheer horror of these atrocities and hoping justice finally brings some relief to the victims.
