Chigwell Man Charged with Murder of Northfleet Victim
Harry Harris, 28, from Chigwell, Essex, has been charged with murder following the death of a man in Northfleet.
Tragic Scene in Northfleet
Kent Police were called to an address in Hamerton Road at 2.46am on Tuesday, 4 February 2020. The South East Coast Ambulance Service also attended, but sadly, a 44-year-old man was declared dead at the scene.
Suspect Arrested and Charged
Just hours later, at 4.25pm the same day, detectives arrested Harry Harris of Stanway Close on suspicion of murder. The victim and Harris were known to each other, police confirmed.
Crown Prosecution Service Steps In
On Thursday 6 February, the Crown Prosecution Service officially authorised a charge of murder against Harris. He faces an additional charge of possessing a knife.
Harry Harris is currently remanded in custody and is due to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court.
