Murder Probe Launched After Fatal Brent Shooting

A murder investigation is underway following a deadly shooting in Brent, northwest London, on Saturday night.

Police were called to Gifford Road, NW10, at around 9:15 PM on December 14 after reports of gunfire. Paramedics found a woman with severe injuries at the scene. Despite emergency efforts, she was pronounced dead.

Victim Identified as Michelle Sadio

While formal ID is pending, police believe the victim is 46-year-old Michelle Sadio. Specialist officers are supporting her family through the tragic shock.

Two men in their 30s were also shot. One remains in critical condition while the other has non-life-threatening injuries.

Chaos at Church Wake

The shooting erupted outside the River of Life Elim Pentecostal Church, where about 120 people had gathered for a wake. Witnesses described scenes of panic as gunfire shattered the gathering.

“There was chaos and pandemonium. The meeting came to an abrupt end. People knew the persons who had been shot,” said Pastor Lawrence Larbie, who was at the scene.

Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up

Superintendent Tony Josephs called the attack “shocking and devastating.” He said: “This is a truly shocking incident that has left a woman dead and two others injured. A family has been left devastated, and we need to work together to provide them with answers.”

No arrests have been made. Road closures remain as forensic teams comb the area.

The community is reeling. One local said: “This is heartbreaking. It’s terrifying to think something like this could happen here.”
