Man Stabbed in Enfield: Police Launch Urgent Hunt
Early this morning, a man was brutally stabbed in Enfield, sparking a major police investigation. Officers were called to Aberdeen Road, N18, just after 5am on Tuesday, 2 April following reports of a stabbing.
Victim Found Injured After Attack on Fairfield Road
Emergency crews found a man in his 30s suffering from a stab wound. The victim had been walking with a companion when he was attacked on nearby Fairfield Road. He managed to stagger to Aberdeen Road, where police discovered him. Thankfully, the companion escaped unharmed.
Suspect Description Released
Police describe the attacker as a tall, skinny black man wearing a hoody. The victim was rushed to an east London hospital, where his condition is currently classed as life-threatening. No arrests have been made yet.
Community on Edge as Police Boost Patrols
Detective Superintendent Luke Marks said: “I am aware that events from the weekend have caused a huge amount of worry and concern among the community, and that this incident will cause further alarm. While at this stage the incident has not yet been formally linked, the location and manner of this attack will be of concern to the public.”
He added: “You will see additional uniformed patrols in the Edmonton area. Our advice is for the public to remain vigilant and report anyone acting suspiciously. If you have any concerns, please speak with my officers immediately.”
Two males previously arrested on suspicion of GBH remain in custody as the investigation continues.
