A man who fatally stabbed another in an “unprovoked attack” in west London has been found guilty of murder. Sabin Manda, 32, was convicted on Thursday, September 26, at Inner London Crown Court for the killing of 27-year-old Bajram Luli in Sudbury Heights Avenue, Greenford, on March 11, 2024.
The incident occurred following a dispute over drugs between Manda and Luli. Manda, of Popes Lane, Ealing, claimed during the trial that he acted in self-defence, fearing for his life. However, police uncovered CCTV footage of the incident which showed that Manda’s attack on Luli was entirely unprovoked, ultimately discrediting his self-defence argument.
DI Guttridge added, “I can only hope his conviction brings some comfort to Bajram’s family.”
Manda has been remanded in custody and will be sentenced at Inner London Crown Court on Thursday, October 11. He now faces a lengthy prison term for the murder of Luli, whose family and friends continue to mourn his untimely death.
