Predators Target Teen at Brixton Pub
Nigerian nationals Fred Akinsanya, 34, and Daniel Raji, 29, have been slammed with a combined 21 years behind bars for raping a 15-year-old girl. The pair plied the schoolgirl with booze and drugs at Paddy’s Yard, a Brixton Irish pub, on February 8 last year.
Victim Lured Back to Flat for Drug-Fuelled Attack
After buying her drinks, Akinsanya and Raji invited the girl and her friends to Raji’s flat to smoke cannabis and party. Her friends quickly grew uneasy and pushed her to leave. But the victim began blacking out and collapsed, a court heard.
Horrific Ordeal Filmed by Attacker
The attackers subjected the girl to a brutal assault while Raji recorded the horrifying scene on camera. Prosecutor Diana Wilson told the court the victim now struggles to trust anyone after the trauma.
Harsh Sentences Handed Down
- Akinsanya, from South Croydon, denied the charges but was found guilty of rape and sentenced to 10 years.
- Raji, from Brixton, was convicted of two counts of rape and making an indecent image of a child. He received 11 years behind bars.
