Caught Red-Handed After Dodging Police
Teon Francis, 46, from Enfield, was jailed for five years and eight months at Inner london/" title="London" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">London Crown Court on Thursday 12 February. He pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and breaking a court order banning him from carrying more than one mobile phone.
Last May, plain clothes officers from British Transport Police’s County Lines Taskforce spotted Francis acting suspiciously at Stratford station. He was trying to avoid uniformed cops and sneak out a different exit — raising red flags instantly.
Chaos Unleashed as Drugs Spilled in Front of Officers
When stopped and searched, Francis denied having any drugs and fought officers. But during the scuffle, his stash of cocaine tumbled out onto the station floor for all to see.
He was arrested immediately. A search also found he was carrying two phones, including a burner, violating the terms of his Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO).
More Drugs and Phones Found at Home
Police searched Francis’ home and found cannabis, two more burner phones, and small quantities of white crystal and powdery drugs.
“Our eagle-eyed officers can spot when criminals try to dodge us,” said PC James Ng. “Despite his protests, Francis was caught red-handed after he spilled his drugs in view of us.
“Dealers using the railways beware — we’re watching, and it’s only a matter of time before you get caught. If you see anything suspicious on the railway, text us on 61016.”
