Knife Attack Shocker: Man Charged After Assault on Two Police Officers in Northampton

Gordon Finnlayson, 39, from Duncarnock Crescent, Neilston, Glasgow, has been charged following a brutal knife attack on two police officers in Northampton.

Knife Rampage on Hazelwood Road

The terrifying incident unfolded around 11pm on Friday, March 8, on Hazelwood Road. During the altercation, one man suffered serious facial cuts, while two police officers were viciously stabbed.

Court Appearance and Charges

Finnlayson appeared at Northampton Magistrates’ Court on March 11. He faces one count of grievous bodily harm and two counts of attempted grievous bodily harm. The accused was remanded in custody and is set to return to Northampton Crown Court on May 27, 2024, for further proceedings.
