Suspect Taken Down Near Cambridge Circus Falls Ill During Arrest
Police swooped on a man near Cambridge Circus late Saturday night after a theft report. The suspect was detained at around 11:20pm on September 20.
Man Falls Ill in Custody
The Metropolitan Police revealed the suspect suddenly became unwell while in custody. Officers jumped into action, giving first aid before calling paramedics to the scene.
Rushed to Hospital, Condition Stable
Emergency crews quickly transported the man to hospital. Authorities confirmed he is now in a stable condition and receiving treatment.
Police Cordon Lifted, Street Reopens
Last night, police set up a cordon on Romilly Street as the situation unfolded. The police have since lifted the cordon and normal patrols have resumed.
