Man Charged After Knife Robbery Injures Two Teenagers in Stourbridge
Shocking Stourbridge Knife Robbery
A violent robbery in Stourbridge has left two teenage boys injured and rocked the local community. On Sunday 13 April 2025, around 6:15 PM, West Midlands Police were called to Swanfield Road where the youths were assaulted and threatened with a knife in a brazen attack in broad daylight.
The attackers made off with a bag containing a phone and a coat. Both victims needed medical treatment, but thankfully their injuries are not life-threatening.
Arrests Made as Investigation Unfolds
Ryan Hand, 36, has been charged with robbery and possession of a bladed article. He is currently remanded in custody and appeared at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on Wednesday 16 April.
A 12-year-old boy was also arrested in connection with the incident. He has since been released on strict bail conditions as police continue their inquiries. This incident has intensified concerns over the disturbing rise of children involved in serious violent crime.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said:
“This was a frightening incident and we understand the concern it has caused in the community. We remain in close contact with the teenagers and their families to ensure they receive the support they need.”
Police have launched a full investigation, reviewing CCTV footage and carrying out local enquiries. Residents have voiced alarm at the escalating knife violence, especially near youth spaces, demanding increased police patrols and better engagement with local youngsters.
