BMW 530 Police Car Flips on Roof in Havant Crash
A BMW 530 police car overturned after smashing into a lamp-post near Havant today. The dramatic crash happened just after 11am on Durrants Road, Rowlands Castle.
Officers Roll But Walk Away
Two officers were inside the vehicle when it lost control and rolled on its roof. Miraculously, both escaped without serious injuries. Hampshire Police confirmed an ambulance attended the scene as a precaution, but neither officer needed hospital treatment.
Road Shut and Wreck Cleared
Authorities shut part of Durrants Road while investigations took place. The wrecked police car was hauled away by Boarhunt Recovery on a low loader and taken to the Police Garage at Broadcut, Fareham.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
