Two Arrested in Prince’s Crescent Shooting Probe

A 44-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder yesterday (24 May). Both have now been released on bail as police continue their investigation.

Shooting Incident Leaves Man Seriously Injured

The arrests stem from a shooting that took place on Prince’s Crescent shortly before 1pm on Sunday, 22 May. A 27-year-old man was hit in the right arm by gunfire. He remains in hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police Boost Patrols Amid Growing Community Concern

“Our investigation is progressing at pace,” said DCI Richard Hammond, Senior Investigating Officer. “We are building a full picture of the circumstances surrounding this incident.”

“I understand how concerned the community feels and we have increased proactive patrols in the area to offer reassurance. If you’re worried about anything, please speak to one of our officers. They are here to help.”
