Man Bailed After Isle of Wight Murder Probe

Hampshire police have released a 20-year-old man from Newport on bail following the death of Gary Stacey. The man had been arrested on suspicion of murder but was granted bail until March 29.

Suspect Initially Held for Serious Assault

The suspect was first detained over grievous bodily harm but was later released without charge for that offence. The investigation into Gary Stacey’s death is ongoing. The victim died after an assault in St James’ Street, Newport, around 4am on February 14.

Police Seek Witnesses
