Man Arrested After Brutal Pub Stabbing in Hornchurch
Police have arrested a 29-year-old man over a stabbing at a Hornchurch pub. He was taken into custody on Monday, July 25, on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
Late-Night Attack on High Street
Just after midnight on Saturday, July 23, officers on patrol were called to a stabbing incident at a pub on the High Street. A 23-year-old man had been stabbed multiple times.
The London Ambulance Service rushed to the scene, where first aid was given before the victim was rushed to an East London hospital. Fortunately, his injuries are not life-threatening.
Police Appeal for Public Help
Detective Sergeant Simon Williams thanked the public for their swift tips in a “fast-paced investigation.” He urged everyone to stop sharing videos of the attack on social media to respect the victim and avoid compromising any future court case.
“I would like to ask the public to stop sharing it now in order to respect the victim and avoid jeopardising any future court proceedings,” said DS Williams.
