Suffolk Police are on the case after a man was seriously injured when a taxi suddenly took off, dragging him along a road in Newmarket late at night.

The terrifying event happened between 11pm and midnight on December 15, near one of the town’s busy High Street taxi ranks. The victim had leaned into the taxi to speak with the driver when, unexpectedly, the vehicle accelerated, dragging him along the street.
Leg and Arm Injuries Sustained
The man suffered injuries to his leg and arm during the ordeal. Emergency services were called, and the victim is receiving treatment for his wounds.
