Nomad Nabbed with Knife and Cannabis on Winchester Streets

Ashley Marshall, 28, homeless and on the run, has been locked up for four months after police caught him red-handed with cannabis and a knife.

Chased and Arrested in Beales Close

On Monday, 3 October at around 2.45pm, officers on routine patrol spotted Marshall near Beales Close, coming from Acre Court. When told to stop, he bolted but was quickly caught in Beales Close.

Hidden Stash Found in Rucksack

Police searched Marshall and discovered a quantity of cannabis along with a knife in his backpack.

22 Months Behind Bars After Triggering Suspended Sentence

At Winchester Crown Court on Friday, 28 October, Marshall pled guilty to both offences and was sentenced to four months. This triggered an 18-month suspended sentence from a prior cannabis supply charge, sending him down for a total of 22 months.
