On Saturday, July 9, around 7 p.m., trouble erupted near the Octagon Restaurant in Swindon. Two men in their 30s were assaulted following what cops believe was a heated verbal argument.
One Man Arrested, Investigation Underway
A 30-year-old suspect was quickly arrested on suspicion of assault causing actual bodily harm (ABH) and then released on bail as police dig deeper. The public is being urged to come forward with any information.

“This assault happened in a busy part of Swindon where lots of people usually walk by,” said PC Katey Baker. “We want to hear from anyone who was nearby, saw or heard anything suspicious. Reports like these are taken very seriously.”
