Speedy Arrest After Early-Morning Burglary and Car Theft in Radford
Break-In at Radford Home
Police were scrambled to Churchfield Lane, Radford, after a house was broken into at around 4.30am on Saturday, 8 April. Thieves made off with car keys and stole the vehicle from the driveway.
Suspect Caught Hot on the Trail
Less than an hour after the burglary was reported, officers located the stolen car on the A610 Kimberley Bypass and stopped it. The quick police response led to the arrest of a suspect on the scene.
Multiple Charges for Krzysztof Skretowski
Krzysztof Skretowski, 37, from Commercial Road, Grantham, Lincolnshire, has been charged with burglary, theft of a motor vehicle, driving while disqualified, driving without insurance, and possession of Class B drugs.
He remains in custody and is due in Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 10 April.

Detective Constable Demi Robertson said: “This was an excellent bit of police work, involving several departments, which resulted in the recovery of the stolen car and a suspect being arrested in quick time.
“We take all reports of burglary extremely seriously, understanding how upsetting it is to be a victim of such an invasive crime. As this case shows, we are determined to seek out suspects, arrest them and put them before the courts at the earliest opportunity.”
