London Rocked by Wave of Stabbings in Just Five Days
London has been gripped by fear after seven stabbing attacks erupted across the city over a frantic five-day stretch — leaving one man dead.
Violence Hits Woolwich, Kilburn, Isle of Dogs and Marylebone
The attacks took place between May 31 and June 4 in hotspots including Woolwich, Kilburn, Isle of Dogs, and Marylebone.
On May 31 in Woolwich, three men were stabbed during a brawl on Thomas Street near Calderwood Street at around 6:25pm. Thankfully, their injuries were not life-threatening and they were rushed to hospital. Police cracked down hard, arresting 16 people. Eleven faced violent disorder charges, one was charged for carrying an offensive weapon, while some were released without further action.
More Stabbings and a Fatal Fight
- June 1 — Isle of Dogs: Two men, aged 45 and 37, were stabbed near East Ferry Road at 1:15am. Both were hospitalised but are expected to recover. Police arrested suspects on affray charges.
- June 4 — Kilburn: A man in his 20s was stabbed on Kilburn High Road near Netherwood at 10:20pm. The attack is under investigation with no arrests yet.
- June 4 — Marylebone: A deadly stabbing unfolded during a fight at Edgware Road and Bell Street around 10:40pm. The victim, a man in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Three men have been arrested. Reports say at least one gunshot was also fired.
Met Police Investigate, Urge Public to Speak Up
The Metropolitan Police are hunting those responsible and have launched full-scale investigations into the attacks. Officers urge anyone with information to come forward immediately to help stop the violence gripping London’s streets.
