Five Men Admit Role in £1.2 Million Burglary and Bomb Plot

Major Crime Ring Busted at Winchester Crown Court

David Patrick Hughes, 30, from Hook, has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to steal, burgle, and cause explosions at Winchester Crown Court today (October 1). He isn’t alone – four other men also admitted their involvement in the daring £1.2 million criminal plot.

All Five Men Face Serious Charges

  • Cameron Chivers, 23, from southampton/" title="Southampton" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Southampton, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to cause dangerous explosions, conspiracy to steal, and conspiracy to burgle.
  • Colin Golding, 25, from Farnborough, admitted conspiracy to cause explosions likely to endanger life and conspiracy to steal.
  • Adam Jones, 30, from Fareham, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to cause explosions, stealing, burglary, and refusing to reveal a PIN code under the RIPA Act.
  • Jesse Matthews, 19, from Bordon, also admitted conspiracy to cause explosions, steal, and burgle.

Sentencing Date Yet to Be Decided

The court will set a sentencing date for the five men in due course. Police continue to investigate the full scope of the conspiracy that rocked the region.
