Teen Stabbed in Liverpool City Centre After Bus Row
A teenager was stabbed under the arm in Liverpool city centre following a heated argument on a bus. Police were called at 7.10pm after the victim suffered a small wound during the attack in Campbell Square.
Verbal Row Turns Violent on No. 80 Bus
The victim was travelling on the No. 80 bus when he got into a verbal dispute with a group of boys. They all got off on Hanover Street but shortly after, the same group approached the victim and his friends. One male pulled a knife and stabbed the teen in the armpit before fleeing the scene.
Luckily, the injury was minor and didn’t require hospital treatment.
Three Teens Arrested and Knife Recovered
Police quickly tracked down and arrested three males aged 15, 15, and 17 from Anfield, Litherland, and Crosby. The 15-year-old from Anfield faces suspicion of Section 47 assault, while the other two are held for affray. A knife believed to be used in the attack has been seized.
Detective Inspector Tony Roberts said: “We are carrying out extensive enquiries after a teenager was stabbed in Liverpool city centre this evening. We want to hear from anyone who saw the attack or the bus argument on the No. 80 shortly before 7pm.”
