Three Jailed in Sevenoaks ATM Scam Bust

Three suspects have been arrested after targeting elderly victims at cash machines in Sevenoaks. The trio used distraction theft tactics to trick people withdrawing money.

Police Helicopter Tracks Getaway Car

The arrests came after Kent Police deployed a helicopter to follow the suspects’ blue Ford Focus from a Sevenoaks bank to a car park in Warlingham, Surrey. The driver attempted to flee on foot but was caught hiding in a shed nearby. Two women in the car were also detained.

Cash, Phones & Cloned Plate Seized

  • A suspected cloned number plate was found in the car.
  • Raids on properties in Beckton, London recovered 10 phones and over £1,000 in cash.
  • The 37-year-old man and the two women, aged 30 and 32, were bailed to return on 12 April for further questioning.

Police Warn Public to Stay Alert

Detective Constable Tony Hatcher said: “We’re carrying out a thorough investigation and believe there could be more offences linked to these suspects. If you’ve seen suspicious activity around Sevenoaks cash machines recently, please get in touch.”
