Two Murderers Found Guilty in Bristol ‘House of Horror’ Case

Double Killers Caught

Ionut-Valentin Boboc, 22, from Hillfields, had already admitted murdering Denzil. Today, he was also found guilty of stabbing Fahad to death. His accomplice, Jacob Bebe Chers, 46, of Speedwell, denied the charges but a jury convicted him after a month-long trial.

Both men will face sentencing on 21 December at the same court.

Gruesome Crime Scene

Senior Investigating Officer DCI Mark Almond called the murders “sadistic, senseless and cruel.” The bodies of 56-year-old Denzil and 27-year-old Fahad were found at Denzil’s Wood Street home in Bristol following a 999 call from a relative of Boboc on 12 September 2021.

Police arrived to discover what was described during the trial as a “house of horror.” A post-mortem revealed both victims died from multiple stab wounds, with additional injuries inflicted after death.

CCTV and Clues Seal Their Fate

Detectives pieced together evidence from hundreds of hours of CCTV. Footage showed Boboc and Chers leaving the property carrying stolen audio gear, jewellery, and electronics. They were also caught discarding items at Coombe Brook nature reserve and, crucially, on video dumping stolen goods at the car wash where Chers worked the day after the murders.

Community Relief and Justice

“This has been a highly distressing investigation, especially for the families of Denzil and Fahad, who have had to endure the terrible ordeal of learning how their loved ones were killed,” said DCI Almond. “The offenders showed no remorse and put the victims’ families through further torment.”

“While their motive remains unclear, it’s obvious these men have a dangerous streak of violence. Our communities are safer with them behind bars.”

Justice edges closer as sentencing looms, bringing hope to families shattered by the brutal killings.
