Driver Mows Down Eight at Aldwych Bus Stop in Early Hours Horror Crash

In the early hours of Sunday, terror struck Central London when a driver ploughed into eight pedestrians waiting at a bus stop near Aldwych. The shocking smash happened at around 3:30am on October 29, leaving injured victims and chaos in the heart of the city.

Man in 20s Arrested for Dangerous Driving

The group were innocently waiting for their bus when the car unexpectedly veered off the road and struck them. Police raced to the scene and swiftly arrested a man in his 20s on suspicion of dangerous driving. The driver was also taken to hospital as a precaution.

Aldwych Shut as Emergency Services Sweep In

The aftermath has slammed Aldwych shut both ways from 1 Bridge to Kingsway. A heavy police cordon blocks the vital route linking the Strand, near Temple and Holborn Tube stations, causing huge disruption. Authorities are still investigating as the chaotic scene remains locked down.

Police Confirm No Terror Links — Call for Witnesses

Ambulance Crews Rush in Massive Response

London Ambulance Service revealed their scale of response: “We were called at 3.37am to reports of a road traffic collision on Aldwych. We sent eight ambulance crews, three incident response officers, two advanced paramedics, two emergency planning officers, a command support team and members of our hazardous area response team (HART). London’s Air Ambulance trauma team also attended.”

Eight patients were treated onsite. Three were rushed to major trauma centres, with five more taken to local hospitals.
