Armed Officers Descend on Kipling Estate

Police were rushed to Simla House on the Kipling Estate at around 10.40pm Tuesday. The 21-storey block, home to 79 flats and built in the 1960s on Weston Street, became the scene of a major police operation.

Man Arrested in Armed Raid

Six armed officers, brandishing MP5 and Glock weapons, stormed the building’s front door. They later dragged a man from the premises in handcuffs, loading him into a police van. The suspect is currently in custody.

Why the raid happened remains unclear. The Met Police have been contacted for comment but have not provided further information.
