Teen Stabbed to Death in Shocking South London Attack

A 16-year-old boy died after being stabbed in Thornton Heath on Friday afternoon. The victim was rushed to a south London hospital by members of the public but sadly passed away on Sunday.

What Happened?

Police were called around 3pm on July 9 after a male suffering stab wounds arrived at the hospital in a private car. The attack happened shortly before on Bensham Manor Road near Swain Road.

Detectives believe the boy had an altercation with two males riding a moped just before the stabbing.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Acting Detective Sergeant Helen Ayling said: “My thoughts and prayers are with the victim and his family. We are urging anyone who saw the moped or the suspects involved, or who has dashcam or CCTV footage from around 3pm on Friday near Bensham Manor Road, to come forward.”

No arrests have been made so far. Homicide detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command are leading the investigation.
