Firework Frenzy: Mini Cooper Sparks Safety Scare in Kent

Kent Police are hunting a reckless driver behind FIVE firework attacks using a grey or dark Mini Cooper over six chaotic days.

Blast Off: Fireworks Target Locals Across the Area

  • On the morning of Friday, 6 November 2020, a firework was hurled at a dustcart on Church Road after the Mini couldn’t get past.
  • Two days later at 2.40pm, fireworks were thrown from the same car in Green Street Green Road, Darenth, aimed at a horse rider.
  • Just 20 minutes after, another firework was lobbed toward a cyclist in Gallows Wood.
  • At 2pm on Tuesday, 10 November, a dog walker on Fawkham Road reported the same fiery threat.
  • The rampage continued the next day around the same time, when a horse rider in Exedown Road, Sevenoaks, was targeted.

Police Appeal: Dash Cams and CCTV Could Crack the Case

“It is only by chance that nobody has suffered serious injuries in these incidents,”

said Inspector Lizzie Jones from Tonbridge and Malling Community Safety Unit.

“We are linking the reports and ask anyone with information to come forward. If you have dash cam, doorbell cameras, or CCTV showing a grey or dark Mini Cooper during these times, please check your footage.”
