Fatal Crash on A2 Coastbound

Late on Saturday night, October 2, a deadly collision claimed the life of a man in his 20s on the A2 near Canterbury. At around 11.45pm, a black Audi smashed into the pedestrian between the Thanington and Bridge junctions on the coastbound carriageway.

Emergency Services Respond

Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service rushed to the scene. Sadly, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the roadside. The Audi driver was taken to hospital but has now been discharged.

Call for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage

Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is urgently seeking anyone who witnessed the crash or saw the pedestrian beforehand. Drivers with dashcam footage that could help the investigation are also urged to come forward.
