Mercedes Dealership Targeted in Early Morning Arson Attack

A Mercedes dealership on Cobridge Road, Stoke-on-Trent, was set ablaze in a shocking act of arson in the early hours of Sunday, January 7. Four vehicles were destroyed as flames tore through the lot, leaving authorities scrambling to find the culprit.

Suspect Caught on Camera Pouring Petrol and Setting Fire

Emergency services rushed to the scene shortly after 3am following reports of the fire. Firefighters battled the blaze to stop it spreading further. CCTV footage showed a man in a dark hoodie and jogging bottoms arriving at 2:35am. The suspect, wearing gloves, doused a car in petrol before setting it alight. The fire quickly spread to three other cars in the lot.

Arsonist Makes Getaway on Electric Scooter

After setting the fire, the suspect fled on an electric scooter down 1 Road around 2:40am. Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or has dash-cam footage from the area to come forward.
