£3,000 Cash Till Stolen in Brazen Early Morning Burglary on Cricklade Road

Wiltshire Police have launched an urgent appeal after a daring raid on a local food outlet saw a thief make off with a cash till containing £3,000. The burglary happened at around 4.30am on April 15, right under the nose of CCTV cameras.

The suspect was caught on camera fleeing the scene with a torn coat, a distinctive detail that police hope will lead to a swift arrest.

Wiltshire Police are calling on residents in Beatrice Street, Whiteman Street, Florence Street, and surrounding areas to check any doorbell or CCTV footage from the early hours of April 15. They specifically want anyone who spotted suspicious behaviour or captured the thief on camera.

“We are particularly keen to trace anyone who saw strange activity or caught the individual on footage, especially given the distinctive torn coat,” said a Wiltshire Police spokesperson.
